Lot’s of people have asked me about the curriculum we will be using this year. This is my first year to home-school so I have put a lot of time and energy into this subject. The amount of curriculum out there is enormous. Scary enormous. I read a lot of reviews and talked to a few long time home-schooling friends. Some people told me that I didn’t need anything but a library card…I quickly decided that I wasn’t smart enough for that method. The best advise came from a woman I barely knew from the local co-op who told me to make sure that I read to my children everyday. Reading time is everyone’s favorite part of the day. Even Littlest loves this time and has been working hard to learn his letters ever since we started reading together. He is only 19 months old and I am amazed by his self motivation to learn.
