Day four of thirty.

This morning I went to work. I did my best to stay positive in a negative atmosphere. Our new manager insisted on saving hours during a holiday weekend. Rough morning at the shop.

Home was an oasis of sweetness. My husband made smoked ribs…a six hour labor of love. I made some potatoes and made cookies with my daughter. I knitted for a while and took a two-hour bath. I texted with my friend.

I consider today to be very well spent.

I read about how the Kingdom of God is ever-present within each of us…within me. The prayer of Jesus as recorded in John during the Last Supper is right here, right now. I think I am beginning to understand that communion isn’t something to pursue as much as it is something to accept…to let be.

I hope you found something beautiful and divine in your day.
