Day five of thirty.
I enjoy watching hummingbirds. We have feeders near our homeschool room window and by our pack porch window. For the past couple of weeks I have been trying to capture a shot of the Ruby Throated Hummingbird. I’m not sure if it is the same bird I’ve seen each day since it is time for them to be traveling south.
Most of my hummingbird pictures turn out with a blurry spot because the move so quickly. This morning I managed to get a picture of one. I had to stand in the rain but I got a picture. These little guys have brought our family so much joy this summer. No matter the weather or temperature they show up and accept our offering. In return we find delight and wonder just watching their antics.

Do you make your own mixture, ratio of four to one of sugar and water, two cups of hot and two of cold? Experts say do not add color to water.

We purchase our mix from a nursery.

I love watching hummingbirds! I got one neat photo of a patient one when I lived in Tucson. I’m glad you got your pic of a Ruby hummer.

They are delightful and curious little birds aren’t they. I’m so glad you got an image you like of one visiting your feeders.
