This is my small place to muse over my personal adventure. Some of this is just memories I’d like to keep… mostly treasured moments of my children and husband. Some of this is my own conversation about and with God. Some of it is about the decision to homeschool and my way of answering why and how. Maybe I’ll even add something practical like a recipe or DIY…
Occasionally you will find reviews on here for homeschooling or a variety of other products. For most of these I have been given the item in exchange for my opinion. Some reviews I do on my own because I really want to share how much I love or despise something.

Hey there! I wanted to say thank you for stopping by my blog and providing a comment. I really enjoyed your blog as well and look forward to your future posts! I’m a newbie to this blogging, it’s good to know there are real people out there reading what I write. I think even if there wasn’t I’d write anyway to keep my sanity, haha. Anyway, thank you! And you have an awesome blog! 🙂

We are so happy to hear that you and your children have enjoyed the Early American History study! And I love the pictures of your children’s notebook work. Fantastic!

Good morning Storyad, This is actually the fourth time I have tried to write something based on your brother’s update a couple of weeks ago. For some reason each time it would tell me it couldn’t be posted, so I sure hope you get this now.
I know God has a purpose in all that he is going through and I fail to see why God hasn’t touched his heart yet, but I am still faithful that there’s a reason. When your brother becomes saved he will have a glorious testimony which will touch hearts because of what he has endured and conquered! I continue to pray daily for your brother and your family that you will remain faithful, not give up or become discouraged in God’s timing. You have been tried by fire and are emerging as gold my dear friend.
I don’t know if I ever told you why your story touched my heart so I apologize if I have. Our own son called me ten years ago with the only intention of telling me “goodbye.” My son failed to see any reason to live since his fiance broke off the engagement. There are no words to describe the panic one feels. Praise God I was able to talk him out of it as you did your brother. I am pleased to let you know that next April he will be married to the special one he was always meant to have and he is happy and at peace. God is so good and does answer prayer. He’ll answer yours.
Sorry this is so long but I love you, my Sister in Christ and your family will continue to be in my prayers along my (literally) daily walk with God. Blessings,

No Ellie you had not told me the story of your son…how heartbreaking for you. I found it very hard to talk my brother out of suicide and you…you had to be so strong for your son!!! Praise God he knew he had a mother to comfort him. I am glad he listened to you and am very happy to hear about his beautiful life now. I can only hope that I am the sort of mother that my children know they can turn to no matter how hard their life my be. Thank you for your prayers and I have not given up hoping for my brother to turn his life over to Christ. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and you will be on my heart when I give thanks to God for my many blessings.

Wow – home schooling, that sounds interesting!
Have you ever read Rousseau’s Emile? It’s a fascinating book on the philosophy of education. I don’t necessarily agree with it all, but it’s right up your street if you teach your children at home.

– “It was amazing and scary at the same time. The Vistor left me breathless.” Michelle Bledsoe (5 Stars)
– “Very thought provoking.” Laura McGowen (4 Stars)
